SALON is Arts on Tour’s key annual industry event that builds relationships between NSW and ACT artists, producers and presenters, creating opportunities for touring and partnerships.
We’re thrilled to announce that in 2025 we will partner with Seymour Centre in Sydney to present Salon in the York Theatre on Wednesday 18 June.
This year, Salon becomes a full-day event with extended time for pitching and performances for artists from across NSW and ACT, panel discussions, and industry announcements. Full program information and times will be coming soon.
Salon 2024 was supported by The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre, Sutherland.
EOIs
Artists and producers can submit an EOI to pitch their work at the full-day event, and to be included in the Salon booklet, circulated to venues and presenters to assist them in finding new work.
Selected artists and producers will be given the opportunity to deliver a short pitch about their work, its creative vision, viability for touring and unique offering to regional audiences.
Alongside artists and producers, selected venue presenters will pitch their organisation: their programming aspirations and approach, their audiences, capacity and partnership opportunities.
EOIs for 2025 have now closed. Applicants will be notified of the outcome in mid-April.
Event Registrations
Registrations to attend the in-person event on Wednesday 18 June are now open. Register here.
Salon is not just about selling your show or securing a tour; it's about making meaningful connections with presenters and other like-minded artists and producers. The conversations that start at Salon can lead to everything from new collaborations to future presentation and project opportunities - it's a key part of the calendar for relationship building in our sector.
The full-day event includes more networking time this year, where all attendees can meet and discuss their work and programming. Who knows, a relationship that you begin at Salon 2025 may be the seed for an opportunity in two, three, or four years' time!

“Salon is a critical marketplace for producers and presenters to find each other and make great experiences happen. It would be impossible to be fully across the vast range of excellent artists making work across the state without this event.”
As part of a national market initiative, PAC Australia has created a helpful resource of all arts markets across Australia and New Zealand. Below, you can find a live table with important dates for applications and event registrations, and links to websites for further information.

Arts on Tour is based in Redfern NSW and we respectfully acknowledge the Gadigal people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the unceded land on which we work.
As we tour artists and productions across these vast lands, we pay our respect to all First Nations Elders, past, present and future.
We celebrate their continuing connection and contribution to culture, country and community, and thank all First Nations peoples for their wisdom in caring for the land, the sky, the rivers and the sea.
