SALON is Arts on Tour’s key annual industry event that builds relationships between NSW and ACT artists, producers and presenters, creating opportunities for touring and partnerships.
In 2025, we partnered with Seymour Centre in Sydney to present Salon in the York Theatre on Wednesday 18 June. Details on next year's event will be announced in early 2026.
Watch the video below to see some of the productions that were pitched at Salon 2025.
EOIs
Artists and producers can submit an EOI to pitch their work at the full-day event, and to be included in the Salon booklet, circulated to venues and presenters to assist them in finding new work.
Selected artists and producers will be given the opportunity to deliver a short pitch about their work, its creative vision, viability for touring and unique offering to regional audiences.
Alongside artists and producers, selected venue presenters will pitch their organisation: their programming aspirations and approach, their audiences, capacity and partnership opportunities.
EOIs for 2025 have now closed. EOIs for next year will open in March 2026.
“Salon is a critical marketplace for producers and presenters to find each other and make great experiences happen. It would be impossible to be fully across the vast range of excellent artists making work across the state without this event.”
Salon 2024 was supported by The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre, Sutherland.
As part of a national market initiative, PAC Australia has created a helpful resource of all arts markets across Australia and New Zealand. Below, you can find a live table with important dates for applications and event registrations, and links to websites for further information.
Salon 2025 has now passed.

Arts on Tour is based in Redfern NSW and we respectfully acknowledge the Gadigal people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the unceded land on which we work.
As we tour artists and productions across these vast lands, we pay our respect to all First Nations Elders, past, present and future.
We celebrate their continuing connection and contribution to culture, country and community, and thank all First Nations peoples for their wisdom in caring for the land, the sky, the rivers and the sea.
