SALON is an initiative to build relationships between NSW artists/producers and presenters: it is a small-scale, lo-fi conversation starter without the bells and whistles of a full-blown showcase. Artists/Producers may apply to present a short pitch about their work at the event. We also hear from selected venues about their programming streams.
NSW artists, producers, and presenters, regional and metro, have identified a lack of opportunities for connecting and building relationships across the state, and Arts on Tour is working on ways to address this.
SALON is a platform for Pecha Kucha-style pitches from artists and producers to facilitate connections with NAPACA members and community venues around work.
JOIN US - Hear from Artists, Producers and Presenters
You will hear from a mixture of artists and producers. Each giving a 2 or 4 minute pitch of their work. This is a great way to hear about new work that is being made. The SALON event also includes a facilitated networking session - where all attendees will have the opportunity to meet producers, artists, venue presenters and have the opportunity to speak about your own work. Alongside artists and producers selected presenters will pitch their organisation: their programming aspirations and approaches, their audiences, capacity and partnership opportunities.

Selected artists and producers present pitches of up to 4 minutes each. These pitches may be tour ready work, works in development and ideas looking for partnerships.
Pitches can be from all genres of the performing arts and from productions looking to tour to venues, large and small for 2023 and beyond.
