SALON is Arts on Tour’s key annual industry event that builds relationships between NSW and ACT artists, producers and presenters, creating opportunities for touring and partnerships.
We are excited to announce that Salon in 2024 will take place at The Pavilion Performing Arts Centre in Sutherland on Wednesday 10 July. We're thrilled to be bringing the event to this beautiful new venue, made possible with the support of The Pavilion Arts team.
Artists and producers can submit an EOI to pitch their work at the half-day event, and to be included in the Salon booklet, circulated to venues and presenters to assist them in finding new work.
Selected artists and producers will be given the opportunity to deliver a short pitch about their work, its creative vision, viability for touring and unique offering to regional audiences. Independent artists who aren’t selected to pitch can still attend the event free-of-charge.
Alongside artists and producers, selected venue presenters will pitch their organisation: their programming aspirations and approach, their audiences, capacity and partnership opportunities. Salon also includes a networking session - where all attendees will have the opportunity to meet and discuss their work and programming.
EOIs for 2024 have now closed. Artists will be contacted about their applications soon after 22 May.
If you'd like to attend the event without pitching, you can book your ticket here.

"Salon is an invaluable resource for independent artist and producers. The networking, the advice, as well as the chance to showcase work, particularly for a regional artist, is priceless. I have learnt so much, as well as making lasting connections with other artists from all over NSW. I can’t wait for the next one."

Arts on Tour is based in Redfern NSW and we respectfully acknowledge the Gadigal people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the unceded land on which we work.
As we tour artists and productions across these vast lands, we pay our respect to all First Nations Elders, past, present and future.
We celebrate their continuing connection and contribution to culture, country and community, and thank all First Nations peoples for their wisdom in caring for the land, the sky, the rivers and the sea.
